With an objective to promote economic and developmental activities for the benefit of Backward Classes and to assist the poorer section of these classes, living below double the poverty line, in skill development and self-employment ventures through State Channelising Agencies (SCAs) nominated by respective State/UT Government.

• To implement various income generating schemes for the benefit of Backward Classes (S.E.B.C & O.B.C) and Minority Communities.
• To undertake various skill development programmes for the benefit of Backward Classes and Minority Communities.
