OBCFDCC was set up during the year 1994-95 on being registered under the Orissa Co-operative Societies Act. 1962.

The income criteria of OBC/SEBC/Minority people, living below double the poverty line i.e. Rs. 40,000/- in rural area and Rs. 55,000/- in urban area.
   
What is the age limit for availing loan under OBC and Minority ?
The age limit is 18 to 50 years.
   
What is the pattern of financing of Term Loan ?
  • 85% of the project cost is given by National Corporation.
  • 10% of project cost is given by OBCFDCC/State Channelising Agency (SCA)
  • 5% beneficiary contribution.
   
What is the rate of interest of Term Loan ?
  • SCA providing 3% interest per annum to National Corporation.
  • SCA collecting 6% interest per annum from beneficiaries.
   
What is the duration of repayment period under Term Loan ?
The repayment period is 8 years covering 32 quarterly installments.
   
  Whether any subsidy to OBC/SEBC/Minority people is provided under the scheme?
No there is no subsidy for OBC/SEBC/Minority people under the scheme.

The maximum limit of Term Loan is Rs. 5,00,000/- per beneficiary.

What is Term Loan ?
In this scheme one can avail the maximum loan amount up to Rs. 5,00,000/- per beneficiary with a concessional rate of interest @ 6% per annum.
   
What is Micro Finance ?
The Micro Finance means is a small loan and it is given to individual beneficiaries also to SHGs. The maximum loan amount for individual beneficiary is Rs. 25,000/- and per SHG is Rs. 2,50,000/- with a concessional rate of interest @ 5% per annum.
   
What is New Swarnima ?
This scheme is applicable to BPL woman only and one can avail this loan as per her own choice & aptitude. The maximum loan limit per beneficiary is Rs. 50,000/- with a concessional rate of interest @ 4% per annum.
   
How to apply for OBC and Minority loan ?
The State Channelising Agency (OBCFDCC) invites applications from the people by making advertisement in the leading daily oriya newspaper giving specific instruction how to apply and to whom apply with date line.
   
To whom the beneficiary will submit their application ?
The beneficiary will submit their application along with other relevant documents to concern Block office in rural area and concern EO of NAC/DWO office in urban area.
   
How the beneficiary is selected to avail loan ?
After receiving the application the DWO of the concern District put the same before the District Selection Committee (DSC) for approval keeping number of eligible beneficiaries as per target given by OBCFDCC. Beneficiary list approved by the District Selection Committee is submit to OBCFDCC for release of fund. The Corporation (OBCFDCC) release fund to the concerned DWOs for disbursement of loan to beneficiaries.
   
In which year SEBC/OBC loan scheme was implemented ?
During the year 1994-95 the SEBC/OBC loan scheme was implemented.
   
In which year Minority loan scheme was implemented ?
During the year 1998-99 the Minority loan scheme was implemented through Orissa Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribe Finance & Development Co-operative Corporation Ltd. (OSFDC) and on dt. 16.01.2007 the scheme was transferred to OBCFDCC.
   
Is there any Training Programme organized in OBCFDCC for Self employment ?
Yes there are some Training Programmes are organized through reputed Govt. as well as Private Institutions for self employment of OBC and Minority youths.
   
Are the trainees getting employment after completion of training ?
Most of them are self employed in different organizations.
   
Which castes are included in the SEBC list for state of Orissa ?
As per statement enclosed.
   
Is there any mortgage has given for availing the loan ?
Yes, there are some immovable mortgage has given by the beneficiary for availing this loan.
   
Is there any provision for guaranteer for availing loan ?
Yes, the beneficiary has to provide mortgage (loan amount) along with equal amount of guaranteer’s property is required.
   
What legal action has taken against defaulted beneficiary ?
The Corporation has taken legal action under OPDR Act and N.I.Act against the beneficiaries defaulted in repayment of loan dues.
